BEHIND THE
GRUPDESK EPIC QUEST

The COVID-19 pandemic led to difficult and trying times throughout the Red Deer community, especially for small businesses. Consumers started to stay home more and more, and they began looking to online shops for the goods they would normally buy from their community. Small businesses were forced to shut their doors, and for many small business, this was permanent.

As small local business owners ourselves, it broke our hearts to watch our friends and our neighbors lose the businesses that they worked tirelessly for and dreamed about for years while big box stores thrived on consumer fear. It’s during challenging times like these that communities need to come together and support local businesses and vendors. That’s why we started the GrupDesk Epic Quest.

The GrupDesk Epic Quest is a fun, family-friendly, and refreshingly new event that provides Central Albertans with an opportunity to support the small businesses in their community while also winning epic prizes. This may be the first GrupDesk Epic Quest, but we hope to make this an annual event and grow to include businesses from many different industries.
